This is the most exciting news since the release of the original 150’s some 10 years ago.

The Partagas 160 Signature series was created from a rare Cameroon wrapper that has been aged for nearly three (3) decades.  The unrivaled success of the Partagas 150 release 10 years ago left Cigar master Daniel Nunez with very limited wrapper tobacco, in both quantity and size.  The Partagas 160 signature Series is an extremely rich and well-balanced cigar.  This extraordinary cigar's availability is very limited.

The Partagas 150 caught the attention of the cigar world thanks to its extremely old Cameroon wrapper leaf. Now General Cigar Co. has tapped remaining stocks of that 1977 wrapper to create the Partagas 160.

"When we debuted Partagas 150 in 1996, the lion's share of cigar connoisseurs sought cigars in longer lengths," said Angel Daniel Núñez, president of General Cigar. "At that time, we had the foresight to set aside a limited quantity of smaller and medium size wrapper leaves for continued maturation."

The Partagas 160 consists of (due to limited amount of wrapper) three (3) sizes of Robusto's.

Ashton VSG Series

For those who desire a powerful and intoxicating flavor with a complex rich finish, look no further than the Ashton VSG. The VSG is blended exclusively for Ashton by Carlos Fuente Jr. using 4 to 5 year old aged Dominican tobacco taken from the finest and most fertile plants. The distinct flavor of VSG comes from its wrapper grown on a private estate in Ecuador owned by the Oliva family where this proprietary wrapper leaf is grown for the Fuente Family exclusively for Ashton VSG. The leaf is taken from the higher primings and matures slowly by sunlight filtered through the region's natural cloud covering.

The ESG was introduced to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Ashton cigars and a new size will be released every year for five consecutive years. Then, on the 25th anniversary, all five sizes will be available going forward. “Carlos Jr. and I have talked about this for a few years, bringing out a very special cigar for our 20th anniversary,” explains Rob Levin, President of Ashton Distributors. “He promised a great cigar and he certainly has delivered.” Many people have asked what the blend is for the ESG and the answer is simple. “When Carlito made this cigar, as is the case for  virtually all his limited creations, the blend remains his secret,”.  “I don’t even know what’s in there other than the sun grown wrapper, grown on the Chateau de la Fuente farm. And when the cigar is this good, I’m happy to see everyone just enjoy it as much as they are.”
