| Neerup is the old traditional
family name of pipe carver Peder Jeppesen. For over 25 years Peder
learned the art and craft of pipemaking under two of the most prominent
names in Danish pipes, Karl Erik and Erik Nording. Wanting to stretch
his talents and creative abilities, Peder started making pipes on his
own under the Neerup name. Gaining much of his inspiration for shapes
from nature while enjoying his hobbies of biking, fishing and climbin g,
Peder calls pipe making therapy along with his other great love, rock
music. Working with almost exclusively Corsican and Grecian briar, most
Neerup pipes have some type of decorative silver work which Peder feels
adds to the beauty and uniqueness of each piece and gives him another
outlet for expressing his creativity. Even more important to the pipe
smoker is the exactness of the mechanics of Neerup pipes and their
