NORTEÑO by Herrera Esteli!
Drew Estate‘s master blender, the legendary Willy Herrera has concocted a real stunner: The new Norteño (a reference to Norteños, or “northerners,” which is how Nicaraguans typically refer to folks from Esteli) is a long-awaited maduro masterpiece featuring a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The result is a powerful, toothy cigar with an earthy bass note, prominent flavors of dark chocolate and cedar, and an elusive, berry-like sweetness. FUN FACT: The bird depicted on the box is the Guardabarranco, the national bird of Nicaragua.
They’ve been released in 10-count boxes of 6 (yes, SIX) sizes: Coronita (4″ x 46), Corona Extra (4 3/4″ x 48), Belicoso Fino (5″ x 50), Robusto Grande (5 1/2″x 54), Toro (6″ x 50) and Lonsdale Deluxe (6 1/2″ x 44). We are already out of the Toro, and the others are going fast (and we’ve received only ONE box of each), so get your backside down here post-haste and grab a Norteño while you can!
